Polygon Labs has introduced its Open Money Stack platform to the Solana blockchain, according to Bitcoinist. This new rollout allows businesses to access bank deposits, embedded wallets, cross-chain transfers, and payouts on Solana, creating a single integration point for payments infrastructure.
The launch follows Polygon’s earlier expansion to TRON and the acquisition of Coinme, which may have provided significant licensing capabilities for payments in the United States. The Open Money Stack platform enables companies to link bank transfers, card payments, cash services, and cryptocurrency funding directly to Solana-based applications. Users benefit from integrated accounts and wallets, facilitating the holding and transfer of digital assets without the need for separate crypto apps.
Polygon manages conversions and transfers between Solana, Polygon, Ethereum, TRON, and other EVM-compatible chains in the backend. For example, a remittance provider could transfer dollars from a customer’s bank account, send USDC over Solana, and pay out locally—without users having to manage blockchain bridges.
The fintech firm Kira is among the most prominent adopters, using Polygon’s infrastructure to move stablecoins on Solana and bridge them into traditional bank accounts for clients. Other early users include Tazapay, Mesh, and Toku. According to Solana Foundation, Solana processed over $5 trillion in stablecoin volume in 2026, while Polygon reported over $3 trillion transferred in its ecosystem. This development highlights an industry trend toward payment systems that work across multiple chains and banking networks.
For businesses and individuals handling USDT or digital assets alongside card payments, such expansions may offer more streamlined payment processing and settlement options.
